To begin your Fraction Labyrinth, go to

Grab your snowmobile and race to the finish line multiplying fractions. Improve your race time by racing 5 times.
Then trade in your blades for wheels and jump on your dirt bike for a race of proportions. Here you will find the missing number to create equal fractions. Keep racing to improve your dirt bike mojo. Race 5 times.
Complete your day at the races with a couple of passes on the raceway. Race your car to improve your skills combining fractions. Race on the speedway 3 times.
That's a lot of time on the tracks!
Well done, Math Ninja!

Poetry Tuesday
An acrostic poem uses the first letters of a word or phrase to begin each new line of the poem. The content of the poem usually is descriptive of the chosen phrase or word. Consider a few holiday words or phrases. Choose one and write it at the top of your brainstorm scroll. Then, begin to write phrases or words that relate to your chosen word or phrase. After the 10 minute brainstorm session, we will organize those ideas to work into our acrostic. You will need your brain, pencil, scroll, music, and thesaurus.
Here are some great examples of holiday acrostics others have written.

Journal for Thursday:
Choose a topic to write about for today. Be thoughtful as you write. Pay attention to neatness, sentence structure and punctuation.
1.
Describe the perfect day. Put in as many details as you can. Make it a possible day, not a "dream day."
2.
What is the best book you have ever read? Why did you like it? Did reading the book change you in any way? What way?
3.
If you could be a character in any book that you have read, who would it be and why? What traits about that character do you admire the most?
4.
Imagine you are a character from one of your favorite books. Who would it be? Describe an average day you would have. Write it in the voice of the person you are imagining to be.
5.
Write about a favorite Christmas season memory from your childhood. Write all the details you remember in a narrative form. Tell why it is such a special memory.
